National Association Forum
Sunday, March 21st at 2:00 pm

Our church has always been affiliated with a larger national denomination, but as our church has changed, so have these national denominations. We feel now is an appropriate time to have a conversation about our associations, and determine which are the best ones for us to partner with in order to fulfill God's mission for us. First Communion Class
Sunday, March 28th at 1:00 pm
 
This class is designed for 3rd and 4th grade however, 2nd and 5th graders are welcome as well. If you have a student in those years who hasn't attended the previous class, please make sure they attend this year.
As an added bonus this year, the class will be held at CJ's Bakery in Black Diamond! All the kids will get a chance to make some bread as we also talk about receiving the Bread of Life from Jesus in Communion. Contact Pastor Bill if you have any questions.

Fridays in March:
Community Lunch on Capitol Hill

Shepherd of the Valley will be going into Seattle to feed the homeless on March 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. We leave SVLC by 9:15 and return sometime after 2:00 pm. We also need cookies to be made and dropped off at the church by 9:00 am on Fridays in March. Look for our sign up sheet available in our lobby, or contact us at office@svlcfamily.org for more information.
Christian Friends of Troops

Shepherd of the Valley supports our local troops by sending care boxes and postcards. If you would like to send a postcard to a soldier, small packs are available for pick up and are complete with instructions and suggestions for writing to a soldier at war. Be sure to bring the cards back the next week to be addressed, stamped and mailed. If you have kids, this is a great opportunity for them to share their artistic talents with our troops. Anyone can do this, ask for enough for your whole class, social club, meeting group, or lunch room crowd. God bless our troops!

Vacation Bible School

Mark your calendars now! Shepherd of the Valley's Vacation Bible Surf will be this August 9th - 12th. That's right, Monday through Thursday! Specific times to be announced, but plan on afternoons so we can continue our awesome water theme! Don't miss out on this opportunity to soak your favorite SVLC Pastor!
