Bill Walles is very excited to serve as the pastor at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Bill has been involved in various types of ministry for 15 years. He's served as a missionary in Mexico, and served churches in Phoenix, Omaha, and most recently Marysville, WA. Bill has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 15 years and they have four amazing kids. He has a very relevant preaching style, using Scripture to highlight how Jesus' words still speak to us today. His passions for ministry are helping people grow in their relationship with Christ, and sending them out to be the hands and feet of the church in the community. Bill's heroes are Jesus, Sarah, and Batman (in that order). Bill is incredibly excited to be a part of the SVLC family and the Maple Valley community.

Music Director: Ron Mallory

Ron has been music director at Shepherd of the Valley since August 2000.  He has a master's degree in choral conducting from the University of Washington and a bachelor's degree in music composition from California State University, Long Beach.  He also has experience as a jazz pianist, studio musician, and piano teacher, and has several published compositions for choir and handbells.  Ron's non-musical interests include astronomy, skiing, reading, travelling, and the visual arts.  A lifelong Christian, Ron is always working to grow in his relationship with God and is passionate about leading people into a closer relationship with Jesus through times of worship.

Kathy is a lifelong Lutheran and has been a member of SVLC for 23 years.  She has been employed as an office staff member since 2000.  She has been married to her wonderful husband Dale for 25 years and they have three beautiful daughters.  In her spare time Kathy volunteers as a band parent at Auburn Mountainview High School.  She also enjoys sewing, reading, and watching HGTV.
