Thanks to all those who came to our meetings during February, March, and April 2008 to seek God's direction for the future of our congregation:

February 24, 6:30-8:00pm: "Sads and Prouds"

March 2, 6:30-8:00pm: "Hopes and Dreams"

March 9, 6:30-8:00pm: "Seeking God's Direction"

April 27, 5:30-7:30pm: "SVLC's Vision for 2008-2011"

Meeting Sunday, March 9, 2008 - "Seeking God's Direction"

At this meeting, following a time of prayer, we voted on items from the March 2 "Hopes and Dreams" discussion.
Items which received the most votes were (tally recounted and updated on 3/31):

What We're Sad About

Same people always involved: 80/20 rule
Poor landscaping on street
No playground
*Struggling Sunday school/children's ministry
Sunday school not concurrent with service

Wish stewardship team was larger
Attendance not as high we had hoped
Lack of visibility/involvement in community
No small groups/home Bible studies for adults
Wish we were more welcoming to first time visitors
Nothing for young adults or couples without kids

Traditional service is changing
People have left the church
As church has grown, each individual loses importance
Lost intimacy

Stagnant during transition
